【和訳】Franz Ferdinand - 40'

2009年のフジロックで観た40'が素晴らしすぎて、いまだにわたしの中ではあれがフランツのベストアクト。

40' beneath my feet
The coldest calm falls
Through the molten veins
Cooling all the blood to slush
That congeals around the brain
40フィート下の泡を見下ろすと
その途端
溶解した血管を
凍える冷静が駆け巡り
ぬかるみに変わった血潮が
脳の辺りで再凝結する

40' remain
依然として存在する 40フィート

Salt scales upon my drying arms
Burn my back beneath the sun
But I am cold beneath the burning rays
Lookingdown, looking down
Down, down again
潮が乾いた両腕を覆う
太陽に晒され 背中が焼けつく
けれど燃えるような光線の下
身体の内側は冷たいままで
見下ろしている
また足元を見下ろしている
