【和訳】One Direction - Happily

（アルバム"Midnight Memories"より）

happilyという単語を訳すのが難しかった。喜んで、とか、進んで、という意味ですが「すんなりと」という訳をつけました。その前のbe with meを「乗り換える」と意訳したのは、なるべく自然にhappilyと繋げるため。
（間違った選択である）彼と別れるために自分を選ぶべきだというわけではなく、（正しい選択である）自分を選ぶために彼と別れるべきだというイメージ。
"You & I"の記事でも説明しましたが、"You and I"というのは"君と僕"という言葉通りの意味よりも二人の絆や結び付き、暮らし等を表しています。Lady Gagaの"You and I"に"without you and I"という歌詞がありますが"あなたとわたしなしで"という直訳よりは"二人の結び付きなしで"という方が原文の表現を捉えやすいかなと思います。
