町を出て自分と同じような誰かに出会いたいと思ってる人間の歌。都会への憧れについての歌でもある。音楽も女の子も、都会の方が素晴らしいってね。俺が生まれた町はいつも曇ってて、月並みな出来事を愛してる人間以外にとっては、退屈で憂鬱な場所だった。郊外のどんな町に関しても言えることだけど、主人公はそこでの暮らしに馴染めないんだ。そんな奴がロンドンに出て、明るい街を見て、センス良い服着てる連中や、センス良い人間に出会うって歌で、基本的には夜遊びの歌。
